Does this program require status cards?
Yes. Tipi Moza indicates that the RGI application requires a status card/proof of Indigenous status.
What unit sizes fall under this program?
RGI units range in size from two-bedroom to four-bedrooms
How much is the rent?
Rent is geared to household income rather than a fixed rental amount The rent is calculated using the combined household income. If you are on social assistance, it is the max shelter allowance.
What needs to be submitted with the application?
☐ Completed RGI application ☐ Proof of Indigenous status/status card ☐ SIN Card/ paper for all household members over the age of 16 ☐ Birth certificates for all household members
Is it Pet-Friendly?
Yes, RGI units are pet friendly.
How long can I stay in the unit?
You can stay in the unit for as long as you want; however, if you pay market rent for your unit for 2 consecutive years, you would no longer be eligible for the unit.
Are utilities included?
Yes, all of our RGI units are inclusive.
